We All Need This One (At Least I Do)

Say it, say that I post Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert too much.  Well guess what.  I had a really crappy day yesterday, and last night, and this morning.  So here's something to lighten the mood and get everybody talking about today's upcoming post.

I personally support same-sex burials.  Boy, that sounds terrible without context.

Feel free to leave your comments at the front desk.

Wow, I thought only Seth MacFarlane was allowed to say things that offensive and still be funny.

I daydream of the day when our kids will turn to their kids, indicate that Governor and say, "See, this is what stupid looks like. It was right there in the constitution that you have to give everyone equal rights, and this person decided that it couldn't possible apply to the people he didn't like." And I imagine that their kids will say, "Well, duh!" It's a good dream.

...I'm realizing now that the previous post doesn't sound quite like I wanted it to...but you get the idea...oh well.

Oh it did. I know that sometimes I hear that German immigrants used to be discriminated against in the same manner that African Americans were during the Civil Rights Movement. In the same way that we find that hard to believe, I hope that our kids think it's crazy that homosexuals were so hated.

They'll also think that 2-D computer monitors are primitive but that's a conversation for another blog.

Conservatives are fighting this war because it HAS TO be now for them to have any chance of winning. The elderly are overwhelmingly against special (read: same as everyone else) rights for homosexuals. Young adults are even more overwhelmingly supportive of the concept that even gays are people with the rights born to all people. The fallout of that is that every electoral cycle there are fewer people who are against gay rights and more people that don't see why it's a problem. The future looks bright.
